Database security problems are a major threat. Recent transaction fraud at France’s Société Générale resulted in a $7 billion loss, the largest such loss in history. The computer systems intrusion at TJX is estimated to have cost the company $100 per customer record, resulting in a total loss of $4.5 billion. Traditional security solutions neither adequately protect critical data nor meet emerging auditing regulations. Enterprises urgently need new security solutions which safeguard critical information and comply with regulatory requirements.
